About the author… Robert Louis Annenberg
Born in the early 60s and raised in the affluent suburbs of NW Baltimore MD. Robert attended some of the finest public schools in the region. Starting with Fort Garrison Elementary followed by Pikesville Junior and Senior High. While in school Robert was not the best of students to say the least, barely graduating in the bottom half of his class all the while often engaging, befriending and associating with sons and daughters of some of the East Coast’s wealthiest families many who today are heirs to banking, retail, real estate, building and industrial fortunes! This early childhood exposure to wealth and success of many around him created ambition within as by being around success and money Robert quickly learned he wanted the same! This ambition was first channeled in real estate (building, developing, investing) then in buying and selling cars. [Read Robert Annenberg’s Real Estate Bio] In addition to Robert's business interests he was always preoccupied with music, arts, and entertainment of some kind. Deep down inside Robert had secret desires of either being a writer, musician, actor, comedian, possibly a director, or producer of sort. He spent countless hours growing up listening to music, watching T.V., going to movies, even going as far as keeping a journal filled with jokes, comedy routines, movie ideas, etc. that he still updates almost daily right on his mobile phone. For Robert and most of his peers the entertainment industry was worlds away. At 30 years old Robert left the north east for sunny South Florida in 1990 which starts off as the backdrop for Robert's first novel Orion's World with the main story set in Los Angeles CA during the late 90s.
By his own description Robert is the self diagnosed poster boy for the infamous ADD (attention deficit disorder) which led to problems at school and in his social life as he was always getting bored quickly and had severe problems focusing while growing up. Note: this was long before they gave out pills to kids to keep them in check. Because of Roberts ADD and other personality disorders today he is simply a product of such, always dabbling in multiple business ventures and creative projects simultaneously… In fact according to Robert this is what keeps him sane… writing a book, buying and selling a car, Building or rehabbing a house, playing his guitar, performing in a comedy club, playing tennis, golf, skiing and spending quality time with the two loves of his life, Valentina his girlfriend of 7 years and Chumley (the world’s famous talking cat), just to name a few of his endeavors. Robert’s early writing started by chance back in 1990 soon after moving to South Florida and being right in the middle of a real estate foreclosure boom with vacant properties available to savy investors at bargain prices like never before seen! As Robert started to acquire these properties, fix them up and rent them out, he documented his daily step by step procedures in a "how to" type journal. Soon he had his first book that was mainly used as a tool to teach others as many wanted to follow in his footsteps. In addition to authoring a book on real estate Robert soon found himself at the helm of a multimillion dollar real estate portfolio while also thrust head first into the seedy underworld of telemarketing where he oversaw hundreds of sales people who were selling his books and real estate home study courses sold Nationwide via newspaper and radio ads, all during the 90s.
The characters who worked in these boiler rooms were the underbelly of a society to say the least, strippers, drug dealers, pimps and every other kind of con man you can imagine. It was from his real life experience of either working with, befriending, or associating with these unique and colorful characters was the author able to draw from an abundance of personalities, thus giving them life as he wrote many into the storyline of Orion's World,(2014) his first novel, some 20 years later.
"If you liked the movie 'The Wolf of Wall Street' (January 2014)" Directed By – Martin Scorsese, staring Leonardo DiCaprio you will definitely love Orions World, as the two stories are loaded with parallels and similarities so much so…it's almost scary! (Sex, Drugs, Money, Power, Corporate Espionage, Double Dealing, Greed, and Fraud)
Being the kind of guy that needs to keep moving forward Robert is often non-complacent with where he is, often looking to be somewhere else, somewhere better. With that said the authors fast moving thoughts come to life in Orion's World as the main character being Anthony Orion has many similarities to Robert as both live life on the edge chasing the dream that seems to always be just a step or two ahead of them! Robert and Anthony Orion are both characters, that’s for sure, the only difference being one is fictional by name only and the other is real although the fictional character appears to come to life vicariously in the readers mind page after page while reading what some say just may be one of the best well written, high action, crime drama stories of year!(2014) With this said, be on the lookout for more creative works in the making by acclaimed and imaginative writer Robert Louis Annenberg coming soon to a bookstore, radio, TV station, or movie screen in a city near you…
